Wedding planning can cause that extra stress into our daily lives which then can lead to unwanted breakouts.
We all desire that dewy look and want that extra “glow” on our wedding day. How can we accomplish that?
Well… I’m here to help.
First things first… H Y D R A R T E. H Y D R A T E. & H Y D R A T E some more.
Water is your fuel. Hydrating your body will automatically hydrate your skin, giving it that needed moisture.
Eat Super Foods.
Fill your body with hydrating foods as well; watermelon, cucumbers, tomatoes, grapefruit. & yes… eat ALL your greens.
Rest Your Body.
If your body is drained from all the planning, wedding festivities, and stress, you might as well have the word “exhausted” written across your forehead. Listen to your body. If it’s telling you to rest, you rest. Beauty sleep is a real thing, you know?
Wash Your Makeup Brushes Regularly.
I wish I would have listened to this tip earlier on in my life. After I discovered the beauty of washing my makeup brushes every chance that I got, I realized the importance of it all. Your brushes can contain a lot of bacteria, built-up foundation, and excess product that is not needed, causing clogged pores. One of my favorite ways to clean my brushes is to throw them into the washer with a small load of towels and scent-free detergent. Is it crazy? Maybe… Does it work? Absolutely.
Wash Your Hands and Keep Them Off of Your Face.
Your hands can encounter a lot, your face cannot. Keep your hands away from your face as much as possible. And begin a habit of washing your hands before you do your makeup! Little steps make a big difference.
Find a Mask That You Enjoy.
Face masks are a m a z i n g. Especially if you find the right one! Make it a habit to do a mask at least 3-4 times a week. This will not only hydrate your skin, but it will also help with getting rid of those blemishes. *A mask does not replace the step of washing your face!
My personal favorites:
Invest in a Professional Facial.
Allowing yourself to have at least one professional facial before your big day is a great tip. Not only are they clearing your skin and making it have that extra glow, you are allowing yourself, your body, and your mind to relax.
Invest in yourself. I promise it will be worth it.
I encourage you to think about all things skin routine months before your wedding day. Don’t wait until the last minute!
However, you will look immaculate whatever the case may be. Pores and all.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14
I’m going to go wash my makeup brushes now…
With love, Hannah
