growth.

Growing up, I bounced back and forth on what I wanted to be when I grow up.

Being in the wedding industry was never an idea of mine until the beginning stages of my teenage years.

My oldest sister got married when I was a Sophomore in high school. I remember falling in love with the decorating process

& that’s when something clicked…

that’s the day I knew I wanted to be a wedding coordinator.

I remember feeling so relieved because I finally knew what I wanted to do with my life. There was complete peace within my heart on this decision.

“A wedding coordinator?” “You sure you wanna do that?” “You know that you’ll never have a free weekend, right?” “People are hard to work with, ya know?”

Yes, I’m sure. Yes, I do. Yes, I know. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Some people didn’t understand why I wanted to do this and others were so supportive.

I’m thankful that I listened to my own desires because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be writing this blog post today.

I worked my first wedding as an attendant at Eberley Brooks on March 3, 2018.

Exactly a year later, on March 2, 2019, I coordinated my first wedding.

Oh what a year can do.

Over the last year, I have walked along side the other coordinators, lended a helping hand when it was needed, and assisted in any way that I can.

I was finally handed the baton and it was my turn to run the race.

I have coordinated personal friend’s weddings at other venues, but there was something so special about doing it at your own workplace.

Looking back at this year, I am so humbled to see the growth that has occurred within my life.

I’m thankful that I trusted myself in knowing what I wanted for my life.

Was it easy? Not even close.

I have worked some tough jobs in between my Sophomore year and where I am today.

Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Britney and Clayton, thank you for allowing me to play a part in your day.

It was all things beautiful.

I will cherish this day forever & always.

Happy Honeymooning!
