Bridal Portraits

I always get asked by clients if Bridal Portraits are a must or not, so I decided to blog about my opinion & go more in depth as to why I always say YES to bridal portraits!
Are they a must? No. But I highly recommend them.
Bridal portraits are great for multiple reasons. They give you, your makeup/hair artist, photographer, and florist a practice round before your big day.
Being a recent bride myself, I was skeptical if I wanted to spend the extra money on bridal portraits or not, & I am SO glad that I did.
I got to see how my hair & makeup was going to turn out, my bridal bouquet, & what my dress looked like with my full "get-up"
Although I absolutely loved my hair, makeup, and bouquet for my bridals, there were still things I wanted to tweak for my actual wedding day.
This allowed me to tell my vendors exactly what it is I wanted to change & after those changes, they exceeded all my expectations.
This is a side by side from my bridal session vs. my wedding day!

Tucker from Tucker Floral did my bouquet & as always, blew it out of the water! But if you look at my bouquet, you can see the difference in the shape, size & color.
I loved my portrait bouquet, but I desired more "apricot" rather than pink, and more of a garden look, rather than a traditional round look.
This gave both him & I more of a visual of what I was envisioning & then it was absolutely perfect on my wedding day.
Tucker, you rock.
At the end of the day, I highly recommend a bridal session.
Out of my whole engagement season, this might have been one of my favorite things.
I got to spend time with my wonderful photographer, Deborah Hughes & became more comfortable in front of the camera. (I'm not a huge fan of being in front of a lens)
I also got to be pampered by the best makeup and hair artist, Cali Reimer & Jeb Wilcox. They made me feel like a movie star that day.
It was such a fun day!
Again, you can't go wrong with investing in a bridal session.
It personally gave me a peace of mind about how my wedding day was going to go & it was such a fun experience!
Take advantage of getting all glammed up on a random day out of the week. Besides, they make for great Christmas &/or birthday presents!
More bang for your buck, right?
From a professional and personal standpoint, do a bridal session.
You won't regret it.
Here are some bridals of our staff & past brides that have gotten married here at EBE!
