First Look

First looks have been more popular in the last couple of years. Couples choose to do this special moment In different ways. We have had the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful photos come from first looks. Our couples have had first looks in The Barn and outside around the venue.
Whether you choose to do a first look or not an important thing to note is your start time. At Eberley Brooks, we always suggest asking your photographer what time they think would be best for shooting your pre/post-ceremony photos. If the lighting is great at 5 pm then your photographer might suggest a 4:30 pm start time so photos would begin at about 5 pm.
One of the biggest perks of having a first look is that after the ceremony you won't have many photos left to take. You get to eat quicker and you get the partier started earlier. Although, your guest don't mind the cocktail hour or short time in between the ceremony at dinner. First looks allow you to have special photos of your husband seeing you for the first time in a more intimate way.
If you don't want the first look, but want something intimate better your ceremony there is a ton you can do! I love when couples hold hands with a door separating them. Whether it be to read a letter to each other, to pray together, or both it is always special. Beautiful pictures come from these special intimate moments.
