When did you know you loved to do make up?

My interest for makeup sparked in my early childhood. My mom and aunt would always let me play with their beauty products and of course offer themselves as my guinea pigs 

Who was the first person who told you that you should start a makeup business? 

Throughout high school my friends + family were constantly asking me to do their makeup + hair for any special occasion as they all noticed my talent + love for it. They have always been the ones to truly encourage my career. 

When and how did you get into special occasions makeup- specifically weddings? 

My career took off soon after I completed cosmetology school back in 2015. I was always interested in mainly doing makeup professionally; however I knew I wanted to own a salon one day as well so I could offer all the services I desired and specifically accommodate my makeup clients out of my very own brick + mortar location, so at the age of 22 I opened up my own salon called Loft 22 Hair + beauty bar located in Lubbock. 

What is your favorite(s) makeup products? 

Temptu airbrush system, Ben-nye setting powder, Charlotte Tilbury, Becca cosmetics, NARS, Anastasia Beverly Hills.

What do you love most about your job?

Of course I love using my God given talent + passion to make people feel their very best for whatever occasion it may be, but I especially love the opportunity of meeting new faces and getting the chance to establish great relationships with people.

What is the hardest part of your job?

Learning how to balance work life + home life. I travel a lot for weddings, so at times when my family cannot join me on the road it can be challenging. 

What should brides know about you? 

I aim to please and do my best to listen to clients desires; however I want each person who sits in my chair to be able to trust my knowledge + skill and let me guide them to the perfect look that best suits them. 

What should brides know about wedding makeup?

Wedding makeup should be the perfect blend of sultry + timeless. All the products should be waterproof for your special day and a makeup trial is suggested to perfect your wedding day glam.
