Fun Fact: October 1st is national coffee day for all you coffee lovers out there! Ever thought about bringing in your favorite caffeinated drink to your wedding?? Gold Stripe coffee is one of our preferred vendors, and they serve up amazing, fresh coffee right then and there! None of this old brewed coffee, they grind and press espresso for every drink! I know true coffee snobs will understand the respect and love for a freshly ground bean. 

Here are some fun facts about the coffee bean to brighten your day:

Did you know the coffee bean is actually a seed? 

It grows on a large plant inside of a "coffee cherry". The color of the cherry; red, orange, yellow, or pink, determine the type/varietal of the bean. 

There are only two US States that grow coffee beans. 

Both Hawaii and California grow coffee cherry plants. As if I needed another reason to visit Hawaii! 

Coffee offers many health benefits. 

This fact means that coffee is good for you! Right? It is said that coffee reduces the risk of high blood sugar, reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and reduces cardiovascular disease risk. This means my 2-3 cups in the morning is okay! ;)
