Fig and Flower is one of our preferred vendors. They have created beautiful floral walls, bouquets, and centerpieces for our brides. Jodi Willeby is Fig and Flower Co.'s main designer and wedding florist.

A Little about Jodi Willeby

On May 5, 2020 she celebrated 20 years of marriage with her husband, Eric. 

She has 2 children. Boy – Dylan 20yrs old and girl – Morgan 15yrs old. She was born and raised right here in Lubbock.

How did you get into floral design? 

Jodi – it was by accident really. I started helping out in a shop that my mother worked at to help out for the holidays (Valentine’s and Mother’s Day) and big events and I ended up staying. It just clicked for me! I have now been doing flowers for weddings for 18 years

What made you start your own floral business? 

I don’t own the business, Matt Coker does. But, we both worked together at another shop and we decided that we wanted to take our love of flowers into another direction. We love doing weddings and getting to be there for the one of the biggest days in a couple’s life together. Events are also something that we love doing. The planning process of bringing a vision to life is challenging but also a lot of fun and seeing the final result is a feeling like no other.

What are your favorite flowers?

Jodi – I absolutely love all flowers, but of course some do make it to favorite status. I LOVE stock! It comes in so many beautiful colors and the smell is amazing!!! Boronia (bell heather) is also a favorite, it comes in this gorgeous hot pink color and again, the smell!!!! Peonies, dahlias, and ranunculus also make that list, of course.

What should every bride know about You?

I love trying out new things and experimenting with new ideas. I like a challenge. I want to bring a bride’s vision to fruition!! I want to make her wedding as beautiful as possible. I know how to make good use of a budget!! I am going to go above and beyond to make sure that if the product you want in your wedding is available somewhere in the world, I will find it and I will get it!! I have amazing floral supply contacts!

What should every bride know about florals?

They need water! LOL!! Your wedding won’t be ruined or be any less beautiful if you do not have peonies, ranunculus, and dahlias.

Are there any myths about florals in the wedding industry?

Greenery is NOT cheap!! Eucalyptus greenery is not the only greenery out there!! Carnations are not as taboo as they once used to be (the natural colors they come in these days are amazing!!!)
