Douthitt/Meeks Proposal

Brooklyn Meeks and Corbin Douthitt are one of the sweetest couples. I met them back in May while giving a tour. They came with Brooklyn's sweet mama, her dad, and her sister. They were such a fun family and I loved giving them a tour. Brooklyn and Corbin met a couple of years ago at OSU. They are both set to graduate this December.

While talking to Brooklyn, Corbin, and her family, I learned they were not engaged yet. This isn't that uncommon at Eberley Brooks. Some of our brides want to make sure they get their dream date in their dream venue (who could blame them). After a week or two, I was contacted by Brooklyn's mom and told Corbin wanted to propose and would love to do it at Eberley Brooks. I was so excited, I was officially Brooklyn's wedding coordinator and I was so excited to be able to help make a beautiful proposal come to life.

Corbin had a great vision of what he wanted and he kept adding to it. He knew he wanted to surprise Brooklyn and make it a wonderful engagement. Corbin and I got to work planning his engagement too Brooklyn. We planned for the proposal to be under the arch outside the pond. They are getting married in the Barn next June. We ended up having a wedding pop up, so we moved the engagement to the outdoor area between the Salle and Chapel.

Corbin and Brooklyn's parents came the day before the proposal to plan everything out. They were all so excited and couldn't wait for the next evening. Saturday evening finally came and 7:30 couldn't come quickly enough. Brooklyn thought she and Corbin were coming to take pictures at Eberley Brooks upon my request. I had told them I wanted to post about them booking at our venue on our social media. I wanted to make sure Brooklyn had no idea she was about to get engaged.

It worked out perfectly. It was a beautiful engagement at sunset. Hannah Jo Photography did an amazing job capturing everything. Brooklyn and Corbin make the sweetest and cutest couple. We are so fortunate to get to help out and be apart of this special movement in their relationship.
